How to Save Time for Memorizing Chinese Characters? [February 19, 2017 @ 8:53am]

shinkinnicolay
The knowledge of the Chinese characters is based on the knowledge of the Chinese 214 radicals. Do not try to learn all the radicals at once. The most commonly used radicals are only about 80 – 90 in number. The rest of the radicals will be learned one by one in the course of the Chinese language learning.

Decomposition is the best, the easiest and the most productive method for he Chinese characters learning.

CTCS466: Theatrical Film Symposium? [December 20, 2011 @ 8:20pm]

lurel
Has anyone taken CTCS466: Theatrical Film Symposium? I just need a sort-of-easy, fun, last-USC-semester-ever 4-unit class, and I was just wondering if I'm getting myself into too much. There's no syllabus or anything, so I have absolutely no idea how the class is graded. Any essays or anything???

Thanks!

Need a part time flex job? [January 07, 2011 @ 12:44am]

faerieariel
Hope this is okay to post here, if not, just say so and I'll take it down.

I'm an alum and I run a small business, and I'm looking for a part-time-flex student to do personal assistant and general admin -- data entry, running errands, shopping, filing, organizing, event planning/support, scheduling, and some client communications.  Not a 100% virtual assistant but definitely some remote work.

Schedule is flexible, must have a car, office locations in Culver/Marina and El Segundo.

Hit me up at elabpm AT yahoo if you're interested, pay is dependent on experience and which (PC) software programs you can operate, $15-30/hr.

Occupational Therapy [January 07, 2011 @ 2:59am]

Hey guys, I am so close to graduating cum laude, but I need a liiiiiittle GPA boost to do that. Does anyone know anything about the OT classes? I hear 310 is fun/easy A, but what about 220 and 250? (and the instructors, Morris and Crowley?) I glanced through the memories, but didn't see anything (except about 310, but there's a schedule conflict for me, argh!).

Thanks!

PHED104A? [January 06, 2011 @ 3:05pm]

lurel
Hey guys~

I was wondering if anyone's taken the self-defense class before?
The syllabus seems a little... daunting for a 1 units class. :(
I want to take it for a letter-grade (because I might as well use it as a small gpa booster), but I don't want it to end up eating my life up. lol
The only section that seems to be open is with Andrew Pruhs?

Thanks!

Free Amazon Prime for students [August 08, 2010 @ 2:22am]

theonlytime
Amazon is currently giving free 1 year memberships to Amazon Prime (free 2 day shipping, $3.99 overnight shipping) to current students with a .edu email address: http://www.amazon.com/gp/student/signup/info I'm not sure how long they're offering this (it doesn't say on the site).

Just thought i'd give fellow students the heads up on this in case you haven't heard about it yet. This is going to save me a ton on shipping textbooks this year!

For those who have taken a 2-unit improv class, what was the final like? As in, was it a written final, or did you do something else before finals week that counted as a final exam, so to speak?

Hey all-
I am desperately looking to fill my schedule with 2 elective (4-unit preferred) but I really need them to be fairly easy because I am doing it to boost my GPA for grad school.

If you have any suggestions, please let me know of good teachers or classes. Anything but journalism. Thanks!!

question about the Film and Television Production MFA [April 13, 2010 @ 1:51pm]

newengland32
Hi there. I just wanted to ask some students what they thought of the Film and Television Production MFA program. I'm going to toss out some really generic questions because I'm not sure what exactly to ask, but here goes:

How do you like the University of Southern California? How do you like the program? What made you pick USC and this program? What's it like? Where else did you apply? And what do you think of the faculty? The facilities? How do you like living in Los Angeles, especially if you weren't from there before attending?

Anyway, thanks very much,

newengland32
